Dedicated to the memory of Wally

This site is a tribute to Wally Stocks and very importantly to the amazing team at the Duchess of Kent Hospice in Reading West Berkshire, who so lovingly cared for my father at the end of a long and brave fight with Cancer. It was my families wish that any giving in his memory should find its way here. If you are considering giving I can say that the team and facilities are funded from the community and the care provided is free to  those in need. My dad really liked the team and the support they gave our family.

"Wally" was born in Cranford in London in 1938. He was great at sport when he was younger, captain of Richmond Water Polo, he could swim like a fish. His ability to turn his hand to any sport was amazing.  golf, darts, even riding a horse with no lessons. As with Many things work and family takes over. What ever we wanted to do when we were children, my dad always made it happen. He Loved their family house by the lake with garden and great views where he spent much time fishing.  He was such a character, loyal to family and friends and always there to help.  we all miss him.
